Koch joins as both head of business development in Europe and head of Germany, charged to implement SFO Capital Partners’ future growth ambitions combining sales functions with domestic execution responsibility.

In the new role, Koch will report directly to Mohamad Abouchalbak, CEO of SFO Capital Partners and will particularly focus on widening the company’s investor base, originating investment partnerships and sourcing deals that match best with its investment strategy. While SFO Capital Partners remains focused on major Continental European markets, Germany is regarded as a high priority geography in the short to medium-term.

Koch joins the firm following 18 years of in-depth sector experience in large-scale organizations like Daimler, Corpus Sireo and, lastly, Swiss Life Asset Managers where he held the role of managing director and head of real estate mandates.

Abouchalbak said: 'We are delighted to be welcoming Benny onboard shortly. His broad range of operational skills and networking capabilities, as well as his cross-border international capital raising experience, will accelerate our ambitions to expand our European footprint while also contributing to the continued growth of our US housing platform.'

Koch added: 'There is a strong appetite to further grow SFO Capital Partners’ business from the remarkable level already achieved. I am strongly convinced by the high degree of cultural fit with the company and its disciplined, agile and client-oriented approach to investment.

'I look forward to leveraging my multidisciplinary institutional background to contribute to the company’s future plans.'
