Seligman, the New-York based investment manager, has introduced its second fund that will invest in real estate securities. The Seligman LaSalle Global Real Estate Fund will seek a total return through a combination of current income and long-term capital appreciation by investing in real estate securities of issuers located around the world, the company said.

LaSalle Investment Management Securities LP and its Amsterdam-based affiliate, LaSalle Investment Management BV, are acting as sub-advisors for the fund. Seligman said the fund 'may invest in real estate companies located in any country'. The fund is expected to maintain investment in at least three developed countries, including the US. It will distribute dividends semi-annually and capital gains annually. A minimum initial investment of $1,000 will be required.
