Nordic full-service property investment partner Deas Group has appointed Mette Seifert as its new chief investment officer (CIO).
Rikke Lykke, group CEO of Deas, said: 'I’m thrilled to have Mette join our team. She is among the very best in asset and investment management, brings international expertise and a strong track record in the Nordic property market.
'Mette will contribute to Deas Group’s overall ambition to strengthen our Nordic profile and offer value to our current and future clients.'
Seifert has held a number of important posistions in the real estate industry. She contributed to building M7 Real Estate in Denmark, where until recently she was CEO and partner. She was responsible for the company’s Nordic activities with a focus on value-add investments in multi-user properties within the industrial and logistics segments. She also worked for Aberdeen Asset Management for six years, most recently as fund manager.
Seifert said: 'It’s an exciting role that offers a unique opportunity to help set the focus and create results for clients at the Nordic level. I look forward to working with Deas’ Danish institutional investors and their portfolios, and working again with several property segments such as residential and offices.'
Seifert joins as of 30 August, taking over from Benny Buchardt Andersen, who has been CEO of Deas Asset Management since 2018, and is now leaving the company.
Lykke added: 'I would like to thank Benny for his hard work building Deas Asset Management and a strong and ambitious team. Most recently, he has been part of the central team that helped us enter the Nordic market with the acquisition of Aberdeen Standard Investments’ Nordic property activities.'
