UK REIT Segro and Aviva Investors have launched a new logistics development adjacent to Heathrow Airport.

The development is being undertaken by Segro and Aviva's joint venture, Airport Property Partnership (APP).

The Skyline development will initially consist of two speculatively built warehouse units of 6,830 m2 and 7,470 m2. Both have the potential for office space across the first and second floors.

Alan Holland, director of APP, said: 'Skyline is a development in the right place at the right time. The connectivity to Heathrow, to London and to the UK’s motorway network make the location the ideal place for business and will create employment opportunities for the local area. Based on feedback from our customers and our expertise in the Heathrow market, we are confident that the new units are what companies are looking for but cannot find in today’s market.'

The new development is targeting a BREEAM ‘very good’ and EPC rating A. The units will complete in the summer of 2016.
