European warehouse and light industrial property owner Segro and logistics developer Roxhill have launched their latest development, the 700 acre (280 ha) Segro Logistics Park East Midlands Gateway.
Segro is funding €111.5 mln of infrastructure at the site, including a 50-acre new rail terminal and road improvements.
'Segro Logistics Park East Midlands Gateway will be truly multi-modal: with its proximity to the M1 providing easy road access to the whole of the UK; the fact that it neighbours East Midlands Airport – the UK’s second largest freight airport – and that we are building a Strategic Freight Interchange as part of the scheme,' commented Andy Gulliford, Segro's COO.
East Midlands Gateway is situated near Nottingham, Leicester and Derby with direct links to the Castle Donington freight line, providing access to major UK ports such as Southampton, Felixstowe and London Gateway.
Burbage Realty, CBRE and Savills are agents for the scheme.
