A joint venture between Dutch investor Sectie5 Investments and affiliates of Harbert Management Corporation has purchased a retail portfolio of over 80,000 m2 from local fund Dela Vastgoed.

Financial details were not disclosed, but local sources suggest a deal volume of €185 mln.

The shopping centres, with anchor tenants including Albert Heijn, Jumbo and Aldi, are located in Utrecht (Groeneweg), Heiloo ('t Loo), Breda (Heksenwiel), Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel (Reigerhof), Hengelo (Hasselo), Landgraaf (Op de Kamp), Eindhoven (Kastelenplein) and Den Bosch (Maaspoort).

In addition, 87 residential units, located above the stores of the shopping centres in Breda and Landgraaf, are included in the sale.

According to Sectie5, the centres are geographically spread over the Netherlands, and all have a strong 'neighbourhood-oriented' character with a focus on daily shopping.

Harbert said it inked the deal on behalf of the Harbert European real estate fund V.

CBRE and Greenberg Traurig acted as adviser to the buyer.

The seller was commercially advised by JLL and Colliers, in a collegial collaboration. Houthoff legally assisted the seller.
