Sébastien Chemouny is the new head of the real estate arm of France’s fifth largest asset management group Ofi Invest, succeeding Laurence Dumas.
For more than a year, Chemouny was the general manager of real estate asset management at Ofi Invest Real Estate, alongside Dumas. His appointment follows the merger that created Ofi Invest Real Estate in early 2023.
With over 25 years of experience in real estate, Chemouny previously led the French operations of Allianz Real Estate, which became Pimco Prime Real Estate. He also worked at GE Real Estate, GE North America, and GE Real Estate Europe.
Laurence Dumas said: ‘It is with a sense of accomplishment and great confidence in Sébastien, gained through this experience, that I have decided to open myself to new professional projects and hand over the reins to him. Throughout the past year, we have successfully worked to build the strategic plan for Ofi Invest Real Estate and to unite the teams around this great project. Since his arrival, Sébastien has carried with conviction and commitment the ambition to develop Ofi Invest Real Estate for the construction of sustainable real estate.’
Sébastien Chemouny, president of Ofi Invest Real Estate, added: ‘I warmly thank Laurence for everything she has contributed to the foundation of this real estate group, which she initiated, and for all her trust. Her great expertise and human qualities have been invaluable throughout this intense year of work with the teams. I am also very grateful to Jean-Pierre Grimaud, general manager of Ofi Invest, our shareholder, for his support.’
Ofi Invest Real Estate had a €11.2 bn asset portfolio across 6 European countries as of 31 December 2023.
