Schroder Real estate Investment Management has completed the acquisition of Bastion Tower in Brussels on behalf of two of its clients.
The 100-metre high tower was sold for an undisclosed amount by CBRE Global Investors, acting on behalf of the CBRE European Office Fund and the Investa Office Fund.
Bastion Tower comprises 35,000 m2 over 26 storeys and is located on the Place du Champ de Mars in Brussels' European District. Tenants include law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, recruitment firm Michael Page International and the Austrian embassy.
Bastion Tower was designed by architect Goffaux in 1965 and has been modernised several times since then. CBRE's European Office Fund and the Investa Office Fund acquired the property in 2007 as part of their European strategy.
