Energy management specialist Schneider Electric has signed up as the first tenant for the Q Park Kazan warehouse complex near Kazan in Russia, brokerage firm Cushman & Wakefield Stiles & Riabokobylko said on Thursday.

Energy management specialist Schneider Electric has signed up as the first tenant for the Q Park Kazan warehouse complex near Kazan in Russia, brokerage firm Cushman & Wakefield Stiles & Riabokobylko said on Thursday.

CQ Park Kazan is owned by the Irish Quinn Group, which has been active in the Russian real estate market since the beginning of 2006. The warehouse complex is located to the north of Kazan International Airport and is some 25 km from Kazan's city centre with easy access to major motorways. It is to be developed in three phases with a total area of 230,000 m2. Phase I (70,000 m2) was delivered in June 2008 and has Schneider Electric as its first tenant with 6,978.04 m2 of space. Phases II and III will be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2009 and the fourth quarter of 2010, respectively.

Schneider Electric has been operating in Russia for the past 30 years and has over 1,000 people working in 19 offices in Russia's major cities.

Cushman & Wakefield Stiles & Riabokobylko is the exclusive leasing and marketing agent for this project.
