AXA Real Estate Investment Managers has appointed Isabelle Scemama and Laurent Lavergne to its management board.

AXA Real Estate Investment Managers has appointed Isabelle Scemama and Laurent Lavergne to its management board.

In her role as a board member, Scemama will be responsible for the funds group, including commercial real estate finance, infrastructure, alternatives, core & value-add funds and European sales, as well as serving as managing director of AXA REIM.

Scemama joined AXA Real Estate in 2001 and has overseen the launch of the commercial real estate debt platform in 2005 and its growth into the largest platform in Europe, managing €10 bn of commitments on behalf of more than 40 clients. Scemama was also responsible for the 2013 launch of the infrastructure division which has already invested €1.5 bn on behalf of several AXA insurance companies.

On appointment to the management board, Lavergne will be responsible for managing the separate accounts group including all mandates managed by AXA Real Estate on behalf of its clients, including AXA insurance companies.

Having served as head of fund management for AXA Companies Clients at AXA Real Estate since 2007, Lavergne has extensive experience of managing real estate portfolios. Prior to this, Lavergne was global head of corporate finance at AXA Real Estate and oversaw real estate investment products, merger & acquisitions operations and financial optimisation.
