Scannell Properties, the specialist logistics developer, has appointed Jan Imfeld as country head, Germany.
In this newly-created role, Imfeld will set the strategic direction for Scannell’s expansion of its German business, building on its success since launching in Germany in 2019.
He will also work closely with Scannell’s occupier and investor clients to identify and acquire sites in key locations that can be developed into modern logistics units.
He joins from Panattoni where he spent the last six years in different leading roles for Germany, recently as head of key accounts and head of land acquisition.
Amaury Gariel, Scannell’s managing director, Europe & UK, commented: 'Germany, as one of Europe’s most mature logistics markets, remains key to our expansion plans. Jan’s dynamic leadership and deep industry know-how are exactly what we need as we gear up to take advantage of the next phase of the logistics cycle.'
Said Imfeld: 'Scannell has achieved impressive growth in Germany over the past five years. Privately-owned with solid financial backing, Scannell is perfectly positioned to secure top-tier land and deliver on evolving client demands. I’m keen to dive in and drive our ambitious growth plans forward.'
Since 2019, Scannell has delivered 10 logistics projects totalling over 160,000 m2 across Germany. Scannell has also started on site for its 11th and largest project to date, a 68,000 m2 development in Diemelstadt in the Hesse region, which is due to complete in 2025.
