Real estate developer and investor Scannell Properties has appointed Geoffrey Pizzanelli as capital deployment director for Europe and the UK.
He will work from the company’s new Paris office, overseeing its acquisition and disposal strategy across the region. Pizzanelli will source investment opportunities, monitor the regional underwriting, and define and lead Scannell's disposal strategy. He will also be responsible for setting bank and capital financing with the objective to develop long-term relationships with capital partners.
Pizzanelli previously spent eight years within AEW, holding various positions during that time including fund controller for the Logistis Fund, asset manager for France & Spain and head of asset management, development & transactions. In his most recent role, he managed a team of 10 asset managers responsible for the firm’s logistics fund which targeted logistics, cross-docking and light industrial assets in France, Belgium, Italy and Spain.
