Logistics developer Scannell Properties has acquired a 111,000 m2 site in Diemelstadt, in the German state of Hesse, for a logistics park.
The Diemelstadt Logistics Park will offer potential tenants up to 68,000 m2 of modern logistics and office space, across six units that can be flexibly divided and rented out.
Construction is scheduled to start in Q4 2023, with first occupancy expected in late 2024.
The building will be based on CO²-saving sustainability concept and a DGNB Gold certification is being sought for the property.
It will be equipped with state-of-the-art heat pump technology, a greeen roof and photovoltaic systems, while LED lighting, gray water use and e-charging stations are also part of the concept.
Jordan Corynen, managing director DACH and Benelux of Scannell Properties, said: ‘The property in Diemelstadt has a strategically optimal location and the flexibly divisible logistics property has a sustainable building design. These aspects are crucial for potential tenants, as initial inquiries show. As a family-run company, we are always able to respond flexibly to customer requests and make quick decisions.’
Located between Kassel/Bad Hersfeld and Paderborn, Diemelstadt features good connections to the A44, A33 and A7 motorways as central hubs in Germany.
