Property adviser Savills has been appointed to lease The Ballsbridge Hotel and The Clyde Court Hotel in Dublin by the owners, a syndicate of international banks.

The properties, which are both located in the Dublin 4 district, are available to be leased individually or together on a five-year lease from January 2013.

The three-star Ballsbridge Hotel (formerly Jurys Hotel Ballsbridge) comprises 392 bedrooms and has the capacity to cater for up to 1,000 conference delegates.

The four-star Clyde Court Hotel (formerly The Berkeley Court Hotel) is located in Landsdowne Road and comprises 185 bedrooms. The property includes 16 apartments in a separate building, which are currently let on short-term residential leases.

Tom Barrett, head of hotels and leisure at Savills Ireland, describes the hotels as two of the ‘most prestigious’ in Dublin with occupancy rates of around 90%. ‘It is rare for hotels of this size and quality to come on the market to lease,’ he said.

Both properties have been operated under a one-year lease agreement since 20 January 2012.
