He will be joined by three other new hires: Niklas Zuckerman as head of investment, Anders Nordvall as deputy CEO, and Mikael Fasten, who will join the investment team as a director.

'The Nordic countries and Sweden in particular are a significant growth market for Savills in Europe,' said Mark Ridley, Savills European CEO.

'By hiring four of Sweden’s most respected real estate experts to complement our existing team, we will be able to offer a high-quality service to both existing and new clients. I look forward to working with them as we make further key hires and build the market-leading investment team in Sweden.'

In the interim period, the Swedish business will be chaired by Johan Ericsson, former Catella group CEO and a consultant to Savills.

Anders Nyström, who has been head of Sweden since 2013 will be stepping down from his CEO role as part of the changes.

Samuelsson joins Savills Sweden from CBRE, where he was deputy managing director for CBRE Sweden from 2014. Prior to this, he was at Catella for seven years as a partner.
