Savills Investment Management has acquired two commercial properties in the Dutch cities of Gouda and Enschede, on behalf of its European Retail Fund.
The award-winning Gouda property occupies 6,612 m2 of commercial space and is currently leased to globally recognised retailers including Blokker, C&A, We and The Sting.
The property in Enschede has been newly renovated and occupies 3,306 m2 of retail space laid out over two floors. Located on the H.J van Heekplein, the largest square in Enschede and a popular retail destination, the property is currently leased to both C&A and VM retail (Jack & Jones).
Edgar Hertog, director at Savills IM, said: 'It is encouraging for investors to see market conditions have significantly improved over the last few months. Given that the investment climate is now highly favourable in the Netherlands, we are committed to further investment in prime retail in 2018. We are confident that we will identify further opportunities like this by focussing on the 20 best retail cities in the Netherlands.'
