Property adviser Savills has stepped up its Continental European presence through a takeover in the Netherlands and a new partnership in Switzerland.

Property adviser Savills has stepped up its Continental European presence through a takeover in the Netherlands and a new partnership in Switzerland.

In the Netherlands, the firm has acquired Tagis, a technical real estate service provider based in Amsterdam.

Founded in 2005, Tagis comprises six professionals with expertise in project management, due diligence and building consultancy services across mainland Europe.

Savills currently employs 63 professionals in its Amsterdam office, offering agency, property management, asset management and valuation services.

In Switzerland, Savills has formed a new association with H&B Real Estate, a Zurich-based firm offering property management, leasing and investment services.

Mark Ridley, CEO of Savills UK and Europe, commented: 'We have a very strong European business covering all aspects of the property market and this association with H&B Real Estate will allow us to tap into their local expertise, further strengthening the Savills brand.'
