Student housing specialist Valeo has hired agent Savills to market a 168-bed, purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) investment opportunity in Sweden.
Fully let since it was completed in 2015, the asset is located on the University of Gävle campus, one of Sweden’s most popular university colleges, and home to 16,000 students.
With a net internal area (NIA) of approximately 4,200 m2, the asset is close to Gävle city centre and benefits from new developments, including residential properties and a grocery store, as well as several planned projects, such as the expansion of the university campus.
Mikael Fastén, director, Savills Sweden, said: ‘According to Gävle municipality, there is currently a significant supply/demand imbalance, with only 1,070 purpose built student accommodation (PBSA) beds for almost 8,800 full-time students. With the vast majority of students coming from other parts of Sweden or abroad, and overall student numbers rising by 11% between 2018 and 2020, this asset is well placed to continue to benefit from high demand and full capacity.’
