International real estate advisor Savills Aguirre Newman has been instructed to market Torre Rodona, one of the longest standing defence towers in the city of Barcelona, built more than 1,000 years ago.

Located at Sabino Arana Street, very close to Diagonal Avenue, it is one of three unique buildings of this type that still remain at Les Corts district, together with the well-known 'Masia del Barça' (Can Planes) and Masia de Can Roses. A masia is a type of rural construction.

Torre Rodona has been a reference point in Barcelona over the centuries and was conceived as a defense tower in the 10th century. The adjoining masia building dates back to 1610. In recent years, the building has hosted the headquarters of the Hotel Group Husa and today offers a wide range of urban uses such as offices, commercial, recreational, sanitary or residential.

The property totals 1,120 m2 and has been billed as one of the most striking assets to hit the market this year in Barcelona.
