Jadwa investments, an investment fund manager partly owned by the Saudi royal family, has teamed up with property investor CIT to target a EUR 820 mln transaction in the UK, Jadwa's chairman Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz has told the Financial Times.

Prince Faisal said in an interview with the paper that real estate, along with natural resources, was the most appealing investment opportunity and that Jadwa intended to invest a large portion of its assets in commercial real estate in the UK and US.

He said the company was working with CIT on one potential transaction in the UK for £700 mln (EUR 820 mln) of real estate. The Financial Times noted the one deal of that size in the UK at the moment was a portfolio being sold by insurance group Aviva. CIT is one of the bidders for the portfolio.
