Spanish construction company Sacyr Vallehermoso posted net profits of EUR 203 mln in 1Q 2007, up 175% on the same period in 2006. EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) rose by 25% to EUR 292 mln. Business activities represented 55% of Ebitda, the company said in a press release. Turnover increased by 28% to EUR 1.27 bn in the first quarter of 2007.

The rental property business, carried out through the subsidiary Testa, obtained a net profit of EUR 18 mln and turnover came to EUR 68 mln, representing an increase of 25% year-on-year. Ebitda rose by 27% to EUR 55 mln. The occupancy level of Testa’s properties reached 98.7% in March 2007.
