Russian footwear and accessories retailer Kari has announced plans to open 30 stores in selected shopping centres and galleries in Poland during 2012. Jones Lang LaSalle is advising Kari on acquiring suitable retail spaces and developing the brand's expansion strategy for the Polish market.

The company is negotiating the terms of retail space lease agreements in selected locations, in cities above 50,000 inhabitants, and has announced its first store openings for May and June of this year. The footwear and accessories will be displayed in stores with a floor-plan of 200 to 300 m2.
Kari plans to open 150 shops within three years in the Polish market. 'Currently we are negotiating with management boards and owners of the majority of the shopping galleries in Poland. The first lease agreements will be concluded in February, later we will start fit-out works and the first openings will take place in May,' said Kari's Polish real estate director Krzysztof Barañski.
Kari plans a simultaneously expansion in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
