'We believe 2012 will be a year of opportunity for funds with a higher risk profile,' Gianluca Muzzi, head of Europe ex-Germany and chief investment officer for Europe told PropertyEU in an interview during the Expo Real property fair in Munich. ‘Southern Europe in particular is expected to offer value in the medium term due to the sovereign debt crisis,' he added.
France, Spain, Italy, Germany and the UK are believed to be the company's top investment picks. ‘We see an opportunity in these countries to team up with institutions looking for partners which can effectively manage their real estate assets,’ Muzzi said.
