Advisory firm RPE has announced the hire of Vanessa Gevers as director of capital markets in Spain with the aim of strengthening the group's business in the country.
Gevers’ initial focus at RPE will be to structure and develop the office capital markets business, although her multidisciplinary experience in the real estate market will be key for the expansion of RPE at all levels and sub-sectors. She brings to the RPE team more than 23 years of experience in the real estate market and has held several senior positions including being a partner and director of capital markets at Cushman & Wakefield for almost five years, and at JLL, where she served as director of capital markets for nine years.
She previously worked as head of corporate real estate for Nestlé in Switzerland for four years as responsible for defining the group's strategic real estate needs and coordinating all transactions (rental, renegotiations, purchases, and sales) in Europe and Latin America, covering the subsectors of offices, high-street retail, residential, logistics platforms and industrial land.
In total, she has advised on more than 90 real estate transactions and concluded investment transaction valued at over €4.5 bn.
With offices in Madrid, Lisbon, London, Paris, RPE is led by partners Steven Weaving and Bill Judge who both worked with Gevers in the past having been colleagues in the capital markets team of JLL in Spain between 2003 and 2008.
