European real estate asset manager Round Hill Capital has acquired a portfolio of 980 homes in the Netherlands for €110 mln.
The portfolio comprises a total floor area of 91,500 m2 and was acquired from a number of private investors, including Grouwels Vastgoed.
After the financial crisis, Round Hill was the first foreign investor to acquire a substantial portfolio of residential real estate assets in the Netherlands. Round Hill has acquired and managed more than 100,000 residential units across Europe and is one of the largest private landlords in the Netherlands and the Czech Republic.
Michael Bickford, founder and CEO of Round Hill Capital, said: 'Round Hill has an established and proven track record of successfully investing in and managing residential property across Europe. This acquisition underlines our commitment to the business in the Netherlands, and is in line with our European residential investment strategy.'
Legal advisor for the latest transaction was Loyens & Loeff. The portfolio is financed by Dutch bank ABN Amro. Grouwels Vastgoed was advised on the sale by Van Dijk en ten Cate Real Estate Agents.
