Senior lawyer Eric Rosedale has been appointed chair of international real estate at Greenberg Traurig. Rosedale joins from law firm Dentons where he was co-head of global real estate.

Rosedale's newly created position at Greenberg Traurig will involve coordination of the firm's real estate practice outside of the US.

Rosedale will work closely with the global chairs of the firm's real estate practice, Rob Ivanhoe and Corey Light, and other real estate leaders throughout the firm.

On 16 June Dentons announced Rosedale was leaving and that Pawel Debowski has been appointed chairman of European real estate.

Rosedale has more than 15 years of international real estate experience and was most recently a co-head of global real estate at Dentons.

He was instrumental in growing the European real estate practice at Weil Gotshal and the international real estate practice at Salans, which combined with Dentons in 2013. His focus is on real estate M&A and private equity for international real estate funds and private equity players, as well as developments and financings.

Greenberg Traurig is headquartered in Albany, New York and has a network of international offices. Its real estate practice has more than 200 attorneys, providing multidisciplinary legal solutions for property investment, development and management, as well as real estate finance.
