Italy's Investeco will invest EUR 165 mln in the hotel and conference centre situated within the new 200-hectare tourist complex, which will also feature a EUR 300 mln theme park, Europe's second largest after Disneyland Resort Paris.
Construction is to start shortly on the Valmontone Tourist centre, a mixed-use scheme 50 km south of Rome. Italy's Investeco will invest EUR 165 mln in the hotel and conference centre situated within the new 200-hectare tourist complex, which will also feature a EUR 300 mln theme park, Europe's second largest after Disneyland Resort Paris.
The development includes three hotels with a total of 777 luxury rooms, an amusement and theme park, a shopping mall, a golf course, a conference centre, as well as fitness and sport facilities. The project, which has already received planning approval, will be developed by Italian Gruppo Draco and Deutsche Bank. Completion is scheduled for 2008.
The hotels include the 4-star Cittadella complex covering some 57,000 m2; the 123,000 m2 Castello hotel and the Borgo conference and hotel complex, covering some 40,000 m2.
