Rockspring Property Investment Managers has acquired a 45,000 m[sup]2[/sup] portfolio of retail assets in Sweden, with Vencom Property Partners acting as the local operating partner. The assets were sold by Redevco Sweden and the financial details were not disclosed.

The portfolio comprises six assets located in Stockholm, Malmö, Lund, Borås and Västerås.

Vencom was a co-investor in the investment and acted as the co-ordinator and lead advisor during the process. John Gustafsson, chairman of Vencom, said the retail portfolio has development potential. Jones Lang LaSalle, DLA Nordic and PwC acted as advisors in the transaction.

This is the second investment carried out under the cooperation framework established between the two companies last year. Their first transaction together was the acquisition of two logistics warehouse in Greater Stockholm for EUR 34 mln in November.

Vencom Property Partners is an investor and asset manager focusing on the Nordic countries. Investments under management include InfraCity consisting of 200,000 m2 near Arlanda International Airport, and Aros Residential, active in the field of residential development.
