Rockspring Property Investment Managers together with its development partner, Charterfield Asset Management, has started construction of the redevelopment of 24 Monument Street, EC3 which, when completed, will deliver 75,000 sq ft (7,000 m2) of grade A office space including two floors of retail accommodation.

The new building will be known as ‘Monument Place’ (formerly Centurion House) and will be constructed by Mace. Located in the heart of the City of London, the building was originally built in the mid 1980s and consisted of 61,000 sq ft of outdated office accommodation. It was acquired in December 2010.

The new asset, which is targeting a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating, is planned for delivery in Summer 2013.

Joint agents, Newton Perkins and Knight Frank will be marketing the speculative offices and MMX Retail will be marketing the retail space.
