UK fund manager Rockspring Property Investment Managers has divested the Kompassi shopping centre in Finland to Osuuskauppa Hämeenmaa, a co-operative of the Finnish retail group S-Group. The companies agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
Kompassi, part of the Rockspring TransEuropean Limited Partnership III fund's portfolio, represented the last remaining property owned by Rockspring in Finland after the sale earlier this year of the Chydenia shopping centre in Kokkola to Aberdeen.
Located in the centre of Hollola, Kompassi is almost fully let and offers nearly 6,000 m2 of retail space.
The buyer is planning to extend the shopping centre by adding a Prisma hypermarket brand to the property. The development will require a change in the city's zoning plan, which will determine the final size of the shopping centre. Catella Corporate Finance advised Rockspring on the deal.
Rockspring TransEuropean Limited Partnership III is a pan-European fund established in 2004. The fund has invested in over 20 assets across Europe.
