Richard Plummer, chairman and founder of Rockspring Property Investment Managers, will relinquish his broader executive responsibilities to concentrate on certain funds, client accounts and projects in his new role as non-executive chairman.

He will take on the new role on July 1, 2013.

'After 40 years in the business I think it is now appropriate for me to step back from my executive responsibilities within Rockspring,' Richard Plummer said. I have worked closely with a number of Rockspring partners for more than 20 years and they, together with the rest of the partnership and other key executives who have built up a strong track record, are well placed to take the business forward from here.'

Robert Gilchrist, chief executive, who has worked with Richard since 1987, added: 'We will continue to benefit from Richard's extensive skills and experience as Fund Director to those funds and accounts most closely associated with him, and we will value his continuing contribution to Rockspring's board.'
