Rockspring Property Investment Managers has appointed Edmund Craston as partner and managing director. Craston will work alongside CEO Robert Gilchrist on the ongoing strategic development and expansion of Rockspring's fund management platform and the day-to-day running of the business.
Rockspring Property Investment Managers has appointed Edmund Craston as partner and managing director. Craston will work alongside CEO Robert Gilchrist on the ongoing strategic development and expansion of Rockspring's fund management platform and the day-to-day running of the business.
Rockspring said Craston will use his extensive network of existing contacts within the industry to enhance and broaden Rockspring's reach within its current operations and funds under management as well as looking at potential new business opportunities.
Craston will be a significant equity partner in the business. He has nearly 20 years of investment banking experience in the real estate sector. He was previously Head of Real Estate Investment Banking EMEA at Lehman Brothers from 2006 to October 2008 and European Head of Real Estate Investment Banking at UBS Investment Bank from 1999 to 2005.
Over the past year, he has worked as a corporate finance consultant to a number of clients in the real estate sector, including advising Rockspring since August 2009. He has been on the management board of European listed property group EPRA twice and is a member of the executive committee of UK real estate investment trust group Reita.
