Dutch asset management Robeco has agreed a pre-lease on 16,000 m2 of office space at First Rotterdam, an office tower project by developers MAB and Maarsen Groep in the centre of Rotterdam.

Robeco will move its headquarters to First Tower facing Rotterdam's central train station in 2016.

Maarsen Groep and MAB have formed a 50-50 joint venture for the project and Maarsen Groep has acquired the adjacent Weena Point property. Construction of the 125-metre high tower is to start in the second half of this year with delivery scheduled for 2015.

Benelux law firm NautaDutilh has already agreed to take 10,000 m2 on the top floors of First Tower. The property will comprise office space, a restaurant, parking and an inner courtyard over 54,000 m2 gross floor area.
