The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has established an official presence in the Nordic region. The global property professionals body held its official RICS Nordic Launch Event at the Grand Hotel in Stockholm on Wednesday. The new board of RICS Sweden and the plan for the region were presented at the event.

The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has established an official presence in the Nordic region. The global property professionals body held its official RICS Nordic Launch Event at the Grand Hotel in Stockholm on Wednesday. The new board of RICS Sweden and the plan for the region were presented at the event.

RICS is now active in the Nordic region with 270 members in total, including qualified members, trainees and students from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland. Members of RICS Nordic work in a large variety of sectors, including commercial property, valuation but also in consulting and project management, corporate real estate services, construction and geomatics.

The new board of RICS Sweden is chaired by Agneta Jacobsson FRICS, managing director of DTZ Sweden along with Duncan Sunter MRICS, Euroyypo, Johan Ericsson FRICS, Group CEO Catella Property Advisers, Andrea Junesjö MRICS, Country Representative, Ruag Real Estate and Anders Almqvist MRICS Partner ARES.

Jacobsson commented: 'The increasing interest of Nordic real estate professionals to join RICS demonstrates the need to stand out from the crowd by being part of an international network of high-level property professionals adhering to strict standards and ethics.'
