Brussels-based hospitality group Rezidor has announced it is developing a new Park Inn hotel in St Petersburg. The Park Inn Nevsky Prospekt will be Rezidor's fourth hotel in the Russian city. The new hotel will provide 246 rooms and is expected to open in February 2009. Rezidor said it plans to open 20,000 rooms globally between 2007 and 2009.

Rezidor has two other Park Inns in St Petersburg: the 1,200-room Park Inn Pribaltiyskaya and the 840-room Park Inn Pulkovskaya. The group also owns the 164-room Radisson SAS Royal Hotel in the city. The Park Inn St. Petersburg, Nevsky Prospekt will be located on the city's main avenue - adjacent to the Moskovskiy rail terminal.
