Rezidor Hotel Group said on Wednesday that it is going to open three new hotels with a total of 969 rooms in Russia. The hospitality group said Park Inn Volgograd with 173 rooms is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2010, followed by the Park Inn Kaliningrad (276 rooms) in the first quarter of 2011 and the Radisson Grand Hotel Rostov-on-Don (520 rooms) in the third quarter of 2011.

'These signings clearly strengthen our leading position in Russia,' said Kurt Ritter, president & CEO of Rezidor. 'Our strong pipeline in the country now features 23 hotels with more than 6,700 rooms - if we look at Russia and all further CIS countries all together, we even reach 35 hotels with more than 9,200 rooms in operation and under development.'
The Park Inn Volgograd will be located close to the city centre of Volgograd and will offer a restaurant, two bars, and nearly 1,000 m2 of conference space. The Park Inn Kaliningrad will be situated in the heart of the city and will feature a restaurant, a lobby bar and lounge, a fitness, a Paulaner mini-brewery and more than 1,500 m2 of conference space.
The Radisson Grand Hotel Rostov-on-Don is the second Radisson hotel in town after the Radisson SAS Don Hotel with 81 rooms opened its doors in April 2008. The Grand Hotel with 520 rooms will be located on the city's main promenade overlooking the River Don. It will feature two restaurants, a sky bar, a lounge bar, a 1,900 m2 conference space, and a fitness center with 800 m2.
