CEE specialist, Revetas Capital, has launched a sustainable logistics platform, through the acquisition of a multi-phased sustainably developed logistics park adjacent to Krakow in Poland, which will offer 55,000 m2 of lettable space.
The transaction is significant is it represents Revetas’ entrance into the logistics market in Poland, a country where the firm has been active for more than ten years in the mixed-use, office, retail, and residential sectors.
Revetas said it was targeting key transport routes and hubs throughout Europe as it ramps up activity in the sector.
The Polish investment comprises the development of a two-phase park, with over 50,000 m2 of warehouse space and an approximately 5,000 m2 office component. The park aims to achieve a BREEAM “Excellent” rating.
The site is adjacent to a junction of the A4 motorway which links the highly industrialised South Eastern Polish regions of Silesia and Lesser Poland, including Krakow, Katowice and Wroclaw, with the German cities of Dresden and Berlin.
Eric Assimakopoulos, founding partner Revetas said: ‘This investment provides a strong basis for our future expansion within the industrial and logistics sector, and is complementary to our existing operations in Poland where Revetas has been active for more than 10 years with a portfolio of over 150,000 m2 GLA of offices, as well as residential and student housing initiatives in Warsaw, Krakow and Katowice.’
