Catalan Restaura has acquired five buildings in the centre of Paris through its quoted French subsidiary R-SIIC, the property company announced in a press release. The assets, purchased for a total price of EUR 64.5 mln, are located in one of the capital's major street, Rue Rivoli, and have a total lettable area of around 15,000 m[sup]2[/sup]. A 3,500 m[sup]2[/sup] building was sold by Galerias Lafayette for EUR 15.5 mln; the other buildings, purchased for EUR 49 mln, occupy an area of 11,314 m2, the Spanish website Finanzas.com reported.

Restaura said it intends to invest another EUR 15 mln for the refurbishment of the properties, which are currently for residential and office use. R-SIIC is the new name given by Restaura to the recently acquired Franco Belges Participations (FBP), a quoted property company active in France and Belgium.
