Resolution Property has launched the second phase of the Rosada Factory Outlet in the Dutch city of Roosendaal with the start of works on an 8,000 m2 extension.

Phase II will provide an additional 45 units, plus 900 new car spaces with direct access from a multi-storey car park into the centre itself. Completion is scheduled for early 2016.

In addition, Desigual has become the latest brand to take space at Rosada with a new 195 m2 store due to open in late November 2014. Since acquisition by Resolution in late 2012, the vacancy rate has dropped from 22% to just 4% today.

Rosada Factory Outlet, which is owned by Resolution Property and operated by Stable International, has over 70 shops and is home to more than 120 retailer brands. The centre attracts both Dutch and Belgian shoppers with its close proximity to Rotterdam, Breda and Antwerp.

'Factory outlet centres continue to perform well under our well-established asset management strategy, which focuses on re-engineering the tenant line-up, upgrading or extending assets and intensifying branding and marketing programmes,' commented Michel Nangia at Resolution Property. 'The extension of Rosada is the latest phase in the growth of Resolution Property’s retail portfolio.'

Resolution Property said it is actively seeking new retail investment opportunities across Europe for its fourth fund, especially in the Netherlands, Germany, Poland and the UK. It has confirmed plans to invest up to €1 bn over the next two years, targeting mixed-use city centre projects, shopping and outlet centres in major European cities, where hands-on asset management can release additional value.
