Spain's Renta Corporacion is to invest EUR 60 mln on the purchase and refurbishment of an office property in Barcelona that will be home to the property company's head office. This six-storey building, which includes commercial areas on the ground floor, is being sold by insurance company Mapfre.

The transaction is being financed through a loan of EUR 54 mln distributed over ten years and provided by ING Real Estate Finance and the Instituto Catalan de Finanzas (ICF). The company said it will occupy the top three floors of the building, with the rest being leased. The building provides a total of some 17,500 m2 of space.
