Polish developer Redkom Development has sold the Ozimska Park retail park in Opole, Poland, to Newgate Investment, for an undisclosed price.

Completed in November 2023, the 17,000 m2 shopping centre offers 28 retail and service options, including a Kaufland supermarket. The park's tenant mix includes well-known brands like Kaufland, Apteka Przyjazna, TEDi, and Rossmann. Additionally, it boasts several stores that are exclusive to Opole, such as Woolworth, Dealz, Verona, and Jula.

Lukasz Komierowski, CEO of Redkom Development, said: ‘Ozimska Park represents a successful example of converting an old, inefficient retail facility into a modern retail park. In 2023, we delivered 27,000 m2 of GLA, and this year it will be Comfy Park Bielik in Bielsko-Biala, totalling approximately 45,000 m2 of GLA over the two years. All these facilities are now in the hands of new investors. We are pleased that another commercial property from our portfolio has been acquired by Newgate Investment.’

Krystian Modrzejewski, CIO at Newgate Investment, commented: ‘This is another facility in a prime retail location that we are adding to our portfolio. Our facilities provide added value for the city, its residents, tenants, and investors by offering an exceptional retail and service experience in local markets.’

Situated in a prime commercial area near the center of Opole and close to provincial route 423, the park offers parking for approximately 500 cars and is easily reachable by both public transportation and private vehicles.

Avison Young advised Newgate Investment during the acquisition process.

Newgate Investment's acquisition of Ozimska Park further expands its portfolio of retail properties in Poland, now totaling 33 projects across the country worth almost E300 mln. Negotiations are ongoing for further acquisitions.

This is third divestment of a retail park for Redkom Development in 2024. Earlier this year, they sold the 10,000 m2 Park Glinianka near Warsaw, now rebranded as BIG Lubna, to the BIG Poland group. It also sold the 17,000 m2 Comfy Park Bielsko, currently under development in Bielsko-Biala. The asset will join the Comfy Park brand, introduced to Poland by Newgate Investment.
