Unibail-Rodamco and Redevco opened the new 15,000 m[sup]2[/sup] extension of La Part Dieu shopping centre in Lyon this week. The extension comprises 25 units fully let to international and local retailers including Saturn, Monoprix, New Look, G Star, We Store and Tommy Hilfiger.

Unibail-Rodamco and Redevco opened the new 15,000 m2 extension of La Part Dieu shopping centre in Lyon this week. The extension comprises 25 units fully let to international and local retailers including Saturn, Monoprix, New Look, G Star, We Store and Tommy Hilfiger.

Redevco, a co-owner of La Part Dieu shopping centre since its opening in 1975, invested more than EUR 30 mln in the extension and owns 12 of the 25 units, representing approximately 40% of the total GLA. Unibail-Rodamco owns the remaining 60%.

The extension boosts the total size of La Part Dieu to 125,000 m2. With 250 units, it is one of the largest shopping centres in France with an annual footfall of 30 million visitors.

Redevco is an independent international real estate company, managing and developing one of the largest retail portfolios in Europe, currently valued at EUR 7.2 bn. The portfolio Redevco France currently consists of 81 properties representing a value of EUR 1 bn. Redevco is co-owner of 29 of the largest French shopping centres.
