Private Amsterdam-based real estate company Redevco opened its Magnesia Shopping Center in the western Turkish city of Manisa on Thursday.

Private Amsterdam-based real estate company Redevco opened its Magnesia Shopping Center in the western Turkish city of Manisa on Thursday.

The mall is Redevco's third shopping centre in Turkey and comprises more than 65 retail units within a total area of about 19,000 m2. It accommodates a hypermarket, cinema, food court, leisure facilities and a playground.

Magnesia is the first shopping centre in Manisa which has more than 300,000 inhabitants. Like Redevco's other malls in Turkey, it is targeting BREEAM sustainability certification. Redevco's two other shopping centres in Turkey are the Gordion mall in Ankara, opened in 2009, and the Erzurum shopping centre in Erzurum, opened the same year.

Redevco is a private real estate company which manages and develops one of the largest retail portfolios in Europe, currently valued at EUR 7.3 bn. Redevco is owned by Cofra Holding, a Swiss-based holding company.
