European retail property company Redevco said on Wednesday that it has appointed Clemens Brenninkmeijer to the position of country manager of the Netherlands, effective October 1, 2010. He is currently portfolio director at Redevco Turkey.
Brenninkmeijer succeeds Mark Siezen, who has been appointed director of strategy for international retail expansion at Cofra Holding, Redevco's parent company. He joined the company in 2001, subsequently taking up a variety of appointments in the UK, Belgium and most recently in Turkey.
Mark Siezen has been managing director of Redevco Netherlands since the beginning of 2008. In his new role as director of strategy for international retail expansion, he will focus on developing Cofra's retail strategy in Asia. Following the appointment, Redevco's Dutch arm will continue its strategy of investing in retail properties in city centres and properties with redevelopment potential.
Separately, Redevco announced a number of management changes in its Turkish unit. Emrah Coban, formerly head of leasing and commercial department, was appointed commercial director while Tony de Graaf, previously head of mall management, was appointed director of mall management.
Redevco Turkey is currently developing two new shopping centres, in Manisa and in Edirne, following the opening of the Gordion mall in Ankara and Erzurum centre in Erzurum last year.
