Total vacant office space was down 15% to about 649,000 m2 compared to the same period last year, the lowest for five years. Vacancy rates fell in all submarkets, but the reduction was most pronounced in the port area (about 45,000 m2 down) and in Düsseldorf city centre (down about 29,000 m2). Despite this, the city centre and the Seestern district still offered about 331,000 m2 between them - almost half the available office space in Dusseldorf. On the basis of these records, Colliers Trombello Kolbel has raised its forecast for office space let in Dusseldorf to about 360,000 m2 by the end of the year.
