Germany’s Realogis, a consultancy for industrial and logistics properties and commercial land, has appointed Alexander Ego as managing director of its Berlin office.
Ego has been part of the logistics property sector for 10 years and has been advising companies on the Berlin logistics market ever since, most recently as director logistics & industrial advisory at BNP Paribas since 2018.
At Realogis, he will be responsible for the letting business and the sale of industrial and logistics properties as well as business parks, for the sale of commercial land and for advising clients on new-build developments.
In addition, he will build up the data centre division at the Realogis Group and support customers in their search for suitable properties and land.
Ego holds a Master’s degree (MScRE) in Real Estate Management, which he obtained from IREBS in Regensburg in 2014.
Umut Ertan, founder and partner of the Realogis Group, said: ‘As announced, we are continuing to invest in our capital city office, which was founded in 2015. Together with Alexander Ego as managing director, we will continue to expand our Berlin team in the coming year with successful specialists and a corresponding track record in this asset class.’
Said Ego: ‘It is an honour for me as Managing Director to support shaping the future of Germany’s leading logistics real estate consultancy together with the entire Realogis team and my long-time colleague Miguel Schwarz. My goal is to continue to successfully and sustainably expand Realogis‘ position in Berlin.’
