German logistics real estate specialist Realogis has unveiled plans to boost its team in southern Germany by naming long-term consultant Markus Happerger as head of department.
Alongside its own branches in Stuttgart and Munich, Realogis will enhance its penetration of the market for existing and new properties while increasingly focusing on the markets of Nuremberg, Regensburg, Ingolstadt and Dingolfing.
Florian Stork, managing director of Realogis Immobilien München and of Realogis Immobilien Deutschland said: 'Our goal is to be become the absolute number one among all logistics and industrial property consultants for these southern German locations as well.
'Thanks to our large German and international network, we will bring logistics and industrial property owners even more solvent tenants. Our activities are focused on existing properties of between 2,000 and 40,000 m2, and upwards, and on new buildings from 5,000 m2 within city limits and from 10,000 m² outside.'
In 2018, Stork took on Realogis' southern mandate without a team, consulting on a number of individual transactions. He has been building the department alongside joint managing director of Munich Clemens Kerscher since the end of 2019.
Moving forward, Stork will continue to primarily take care of the areas of investment, property, project development and large-scale letting in new greenfield developments.
In conjunction with Realogis’ strategy to promote internal talent, Markus Happerger has been appointed as the head of department for southern Germany together with Stork. Currently numbering six professionals, they plan to boost the team to comprise seven and ten consultants by 2023.
Happerger said: 'Our customers will benefit from the established Realogis package on these markets in future as well. This includes close personal support by a permanent point of contact and tailored property and location solutions.'
Happerger is a qualified property broker who has been with Realogis since 2013, where he was initially a junior consultant for the Munich metropolitan region and later a consultant for the Swabian market between Munich and Stuttgart. Since 2019 he has been working as a senior consultant.
Happerger added: 'After my exciting and instructive years on the dynamic Berlin logistics market, returning to my professional roots feels like a homecoming. I am now looking forward to taking on the south German market with a young and hungry letting team.'
