Real I.S. has said it intends to launch special funds under German investment law for institutional investors itself in future. To this end, Real I.S. has applied to the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) for the licensing of its newly founded subsidiary as a German KAG (investment company).

Real I.S. AG will provide the KAG with asset management, advisory and sales services. The KAG is to be named Real I.S. Investment.

'The aim is to round off our product range in the institutional business', said Jochen Schenk, member of Real I.S.'s Board of Management. 'The special fund instrument offers many advantages which we would like to offer our customers again.' Real I.S.'s customers were already offered the funds of LB Immo Invest, an investment company set up under German law, between 2004 and 2008. Real I.S. was one of the three shareholders from the Landesbank group.

For the period following approval, the KAG already has several funds in the pipeline. The investment focus of the new special funds will be core investments in the European OECD countries as well as in Canada and Australia.
