Real IS, the property arm of German lender BayernLB, has appointed Claudia Christ as the new head of 'taxes and conception' as of January 2019.
The legal adviser and tax expert has around 20 years of experience in real estate investment management companies, with previous roles including spells at MEAG and UBS Real Estate.
'In Claudia Christ, we have a proven tax expert at hand. She is very familiar with our processes at Real IS and as the new head of the ‘Taxes and Conception’ department will set us up securely for the future,” says Jochen Schenk, Real IS's CEO.
Prior to joining Real IS, she worked for Union Asset Management Holding and Union Services Gesellschaft in Hamburg. At Real IS she will focus on product development for institutional and private customers in the area of real estate fund investment, the structuring of domestic and international real estate transactions for the accounts of real estate funds, as well as providing support in respect of legislative reforms and their implementation.
