The company opened up to investors on 1 May and will close on 31 July unless €300 mln of capital is raised, in which case it will close earlier.

Quanta is an investment firm backed by US group, Oaktree Capital, and which invests in real estate, private equity and debt with over €1 bn of assets.

The founder and CEO, Mel Sutcliffe, previously established a series of companies from real estate to technology and corporate finance.

Late last year, it was interested in taking over Dublin-listed real estate company, Yew Grove, in the wake of the latter announcing an agreement with Canada’s Slate Office Reit to be de-listed. However, Quanta decided against making any move for it.

Quanta was founded in 1999. In 2012, it established the Xpand Industrial Property Fund and in 2014 completed the largest ever mixed asset industrial portfolio in Ireland.
